We are accepting applications for the summer and fall semesters.
Every semester we offer part-time internships in Web Development and/or Network Administration for Absorbent, Ink., a premier online provider of promotional products and corporate gifts. If you're interested in working your internship for college credit, you will need to contact your adviser to find out if you qualify for such a position before you apply. These are PAID POSITIONS. Level of pay is dependent on level of experience, availability, and other factors.
We have several ongoing projects that involve developing Web applications in PHP and MySQL. Our programming interns will work closely with our Web Development and Design teams to design and build database applications and dynamic Web sites. Experience with XHTML, CSS and other open-source programming and Web development standards is desired.
Network administration interns will work with our Network Administrator in a variety of duties that could include computer maintenance, network setup, server maintenance and systems evaluations.

Position Requirements for Web Development Internship:
- Working knowledge of PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Experience using MySQL (or another RMDBS).
- Prior experience using a VCS is a plus.
- Possess good judgment, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- This is not a telecommuting position. Incumbent is required to be on site.
- Attention to detail is required.
Position Requirements for Network Administration Internship:
- Posses a positive attitude.
- Be a self driven learner.
- Have an interest in computer hardware, system configuration, network design and maintenance.
- Have basic hardware, and software troubleshooting skills.
- Linux experience is a plus.
- This is not a telecommuting position. Incumbent is required to be on site.
